We opened KYN Orthodontics to give Orange County families a different kind of orthodontic experience — one where you never feel rushed, talked down to, or surprised by a bill.
Every smile we create starts with listening. We take the time to understand what you want, explain your options in language that actually makes sense, and design a plan around your goals and your budget. MEET YOUR ABO-BOARD CERTIFIED ORTHODONTIST
Kristin Y. Nguyen, DDS, MS
Dr. Kristin grew up in Orange County, CA and attended the University of California, Irvine, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry, where she was awarded both a Dean’s scholarship and the prestigious Regent’s scholarship, the highest recognition of academic excellence bestowed by the University of California system.
She traded the California sunshine for the Midwest snow to pursue post-graduate specialty training in orthodontics at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!). During her time at Ohio State, she received a University Fellowship in recognition of her academic achievement and exceptional promise. She also conducted research on the effects of a high phosphate diet on bone mineral density and published her findings. Dr. Kristin completed the program with both an orthodontic certificate and Master of Science (MS) degree.
Dr. Kristin is thrilled to return home to Orange County and bring her vision of a warm orthodontic experience to the community that has shaped her. She feels honored to care for the community she has always called home and looks forward to making a positive impact, one smile at a time.
